Amazónico, a well-known restaurant with locations in Dubai, London, Madrid, and Monte Carlo, is set to open its first U.S. branch in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The new venue will occupy approximately 40,000 square feet over three floors at the 800 Brickell office tower at 800 Brickell Avenue. Babak Ebrahimzadeh of Gatsby Enterprises, which owns the building, confirmed the details of the lease.

The space leased by Amazónico includes room for Selva, its nightclub concept, on the top level. Both venues are scheduled to open late next month. According to Ebrahimzadeh, “The restaurant can seat about 700 guests at a time and host at least 1,300 guests per night.”

Amazónico was founded in Madrid in 2016 by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco. The couple leads Paraguas Group, a fine dining firm that operates under London-based hospitality group D.ream International.

Gatsby Enterprises acquired 800 Brickell and an adjacent garage for $125.5 million in 2019.

In West Palm Beach, DUS Padel is preparing to launch its first facility next year in a 26,500-square-foot space at 2031 Okeechobee Boulevard. Stream Realty Partners represented DUS Padel in the lease negotiations while Southeast Retail Advisors represented the landlord.

DUS Padel was founded last year by Philippe Urreiztieta and will take over space formerly occupied by American Freight. American Freight is closing stores across the country after its parent company filed for bankruptcy in November.

Other recent tenants at Aura include The Missing Peace occupational therapy center and Sunrisas Dental Miami; specific square footage for these leases was not disclosed. Previous deals included Florentin Bakery (2,800 square feet) and Mimi Yoga (2,700 square feet), which offers infrared heated yoga classes and mat Pilates sessions.

Aura North Miami Beach is being developed by Macken Companies of Hollywood and Trinsic Residential Group of Dallas as an eight-story property with 373 apartments and 17,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor as well as a covered retail terrace measuring 9,000 square feet. Construction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of next year.

Wells Fargo has signed a decade-long lease for a new Fort Lauderdale branch covering 4,000 square feet at 1207 Southeast 17th Street. This site will replace Wells Fargo’s current location on South Andrews Avenue when it opens during the second quarter of next year. Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International represented the landlord while Colliers acted for Wells Fargo during negotiations.

The property owner is W D Cordova LLC led by John Thompson Loos III and Amy Mergler; it previously housed a PDQ restaurant on a one-acre lot that includes drive-thru access.

Minto Communities USA has relocated its headquarters within Coconut Creek but remains based there after more than two decades at its previous address on West Sample Road.
