Amelia Island has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler in its 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, earning a spot among the Top 10 Islands in the United States. The Northeast Florida destination ranked ninth overall and remains the only Florida island included in this year’s top group. This marks more than 15 years of similar recognition from readers of the publication.

The awards also highlighted local hospitality venues. Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa was named fourth among Best Resorts in Florida, while The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island ranked ninth in the same category.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

According to Condé Nast Traveler, more than 575,000 readers participated in this year’s survey for what is described as one of the travel industry’s longest-running and most respected awards programs. A complete list of winners can be found at CNTraveler.com and will appear in the magazine’s November issue.

Amelia Island is known for its long beaches, wildlife habitats, upscale resorts with spas and golf courses, bed-and-breakfast inns, and historic districts such as Fernandina Beach.
