Reconstruction has begun at Beachview Villas, a new luxury accommodation project on Sanibel Island. The villas are being built on the site of the former Beachview Cottages, which were destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022.

The development, previously known as White Pelican Villas, is part of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts’ (SCBR) ongoing efforts to help the island recover from the hurricane and restore important locations for both residents and visitors. SCBR has been involved in shaping hospitality experiences on Sanibel and Captiva for many years.

“Having acquired Beachview in 1979, we are proud to honor the property’s rich heritage while thoughtfully rebuilding for the future,” said Tony Lapi, President and Chairman of the Board of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts.

Beachview Villas will feature luxury accommodations with an emphasis on privacy and comfort. The plans include spacious villas with indoor and outdoor living areas, full kitchens, and shared spaces designed for families and groups.

A website providing information about the project is now available at https://beachview-villas.com/. Guests can sign up for updates there. Reservations are expected to open in spring 2026, with an anticipated opening date set for summer 2026.

Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts operates several properties on Sanibel and Captiva islands, including ‘Tween Waters Inn. The company has a long history of managing local accommodations and guest experiences that focus on community values and hospitality.
