The Florida Medical Association (FMA) hosted its annual Days at the Capitol event on Tuesday, welcoming medical students and residents from across the state to its downtown Tallahassee office. The event coincided with the ongoing session of the Florida Legislature.
Participants included members of the FMA’s Medical Student Section (MSS) and Resident & Fellow Section (RFS), who visited the state Capitol. The visit aimed to provide these future physicians with a firsthand view of the legislative process and insight into how the FMA represents Florida-licensed doctors in policy discussions.
“We thank all of our participants for bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this year’s event!” stated the FMA.
The Days at the Capitol initiative is part of FMA’s broader effort to engage emerging medical professionals in advocacy and familiarize them with issues affecting healthcare practice in Florida.
