The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for Grenelefe Resort Utility, Inc. customers on Monday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. The meeting aims to gather feedback from customers regarding Grenelefe’s request to increase water and wastewater rates in Polk County.

Grenelefe submitted its application for the rate increase in January 2025. The FPSC will consider customer comments and concerns about both the proposed rates and the quality of service when making its decision.

According to the FPSC, “The virtual customer meeting provides customers an opportunity to comment on Grenelefe’s request and quality of service. Customer input will be considered when the Commission makes its decision.”

Customers interested in speaking at the meeting can register online through a form available under Hot Topics on the FPSC homepage by clicking on the Sign-up to Speak link. Alternatively, they may call the FPSC at 1-850-413-7080 or send an email to register. Online registration opens Wednesday, September 1 at 9:00 a.m. EDT and closes Thursday, September 11 at noon.

Grenelefe currently serves 1,608 residential water customers and 1,357 residential wastewater customers in Polk County.

Those unable to participate directly can view the live broadcast of the meeting by selecting “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events” on the FPSC website.
