The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) is set to hold a Commission Conference on Thursday, September 4, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee and will be followed by an Internal Affairs meeting and the annual 10-Year Site Plan workshop.

Items for consideration during the conference are available for review, and public comment may be accepted on any item listed for public participation. Individuals who wish to participate are encouraged to contact the PSC’s Office of General Counsel at 850-413-6199.

After the Internal Affairs meeting, the PSC will conduct its yearly workshop focused on Florida’s electric utilities’ 10-year site plans. These documents detail expected system upgrades and changes needed to ensure reliable service over the coming decade.

The workshop agenda includes presentations from both the Electric Power Research Institute and the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council, Inc., which will provide insights into long-term planning and reliability issues for electric utilities.

According to state law, the PSC is required to review these site plans each year and determine if they are “suitable” or “unsuitable.” The findings from this review are then sent to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where they inform decisions related to power plant and transmission line siting certification proceedings.

A live broadcast of both the Commission Conference and Workshop will be available online (click “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events”), with additional coverage potentially offered by The Florida Channel depending on local listings.
