Nominations are now open for the 5th Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award, an initiative that honors volunteer leaders who have made significant contributions to Florida’s manufacturing sector. The award was established in memory of Bob Provitola, who served as Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and was the founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network.

According to FloridaMakes, “This award was created in memory of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Bob dedicated his career to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida, all with the goal of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.”

The organization continues this legacy by recognizing individuals each year for their advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism within the industry. As stated by FloridaMakes: “Each year, we continue his legacy by recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism.”

Eligibility for nomination is based on volunteer service rather than serving as a loaned executive. Nominations are submitted through an online form and reviewed by a committee composed of manufacturers and stakeholders. All nominees are evaluated based on their impact on manufacturing in Florida.

The deadline for nominations is October 8, 2025. More information about the award and how to submit nominations can be found at www.FloridaMakes.com/Bob-Provitola-Award.
