Retired National Football League player Rob Konrad bought a new waterfront home on the same street in Ocean Ridge, Florida, after surviving at sea for 16 hours earlier this year, according to a Mar. 25 report.
Konrad, who previously played for the Miami Dolphins and now works as a financial adviser, sold his four-bedroom house at 19 Harbour Drive and purchased another four-bedroom property at 10 Harbour Drive. He sold his former residence for $5 million and paid about $4.8 million for the newer house.
Konrad and his wife, Tammy, had originally bought their previous home for nearly $2 million in 2019. The sale represents an increase of about 150 percent from their purchase price. The old house was built in 2002 on a lot of about 0.2 acres and included three-and-a-half bathrooms, a pool, and a dock.
The couple’s new property is larger with approximately 0.4 acres of land. Designed by Randall Stofft and built in 2022, it features a waterfront pool but does not appear to have a dock. Property records show that Jeffrey and Galen Giannetti were the sellers.
The Matt and Nick Team at Serhant—Matthew Moser and Nick Gonzalez—represented Konrad during the purchase process while Candace and Phil Friis from Corcoran Group represented the sellers. Moser also represented the buyer of Konrad’s previous home; John Stauffenberg from Serhant represented Konrad in that sale.
Earlier this year, Konrad fell off his boat roughly nine miles from shore in early January and swam an estimated twenty-seven miles over sixteen hours before being rescued by authorities after his boat was recovered by the Bahamian government.
