Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, near Naples, has announced plans for a major renovation of its meeting and event spaces. The project is scheduled to begin in mid-July and is expected to be completed by early fall.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year, designed to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the essence of our serene natural setting, this project will enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the spaces with nods to our surrounding environment, offering an ideal backdrop to drive meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”
The renovation will incorporate design elements inspired by the local coastal environment, including ocean blues, deep greens, and sandy beige accents. Updates include new carpeting, wall coverings, artwork reflecting the gulf-side location, as well as new lighting fixtures such as a mesh chandelier in the Estero Ballroom and opalescent glasswork installations throughout other areas.
Improvements also extend outdoors. The Calusa Ballroom Terrace will receive new pavers, lighting upgrades, integrated turf, and redesigned landscaping. These changes aim to provide enhanced outdoor event settings similar to tropical gardens.
Other updates involve installing a digital signage display bordered by custom wood millwork at the registration desk area. Meeting space restrooms will also be refreshed with stone tones, greens and blues on walls alongside updated vanities and modern fixtures.
This renovation follows recent projects at the resort: guestrooms were renovated in 2022; Tarpon Bay restaurant was redesigned; water park amenities were improved in 2023; Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen opened with a coastal design focus in 2024.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa offers 82,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Outdoor venues include Belvedere Terrace with fountains and waterfalls; Banyan Courtyard featuring live oaks; Royal Palm and Cypress Courtyards lined with palms. Indoor options feature two main ballrooms—the 14,000 square-foot Calusa Ballroom (with terrace) and 7,000 square-foot Estero Ballroom (with terrace)—as well as smaller rooms like Blue Heron or Great Egret that offer tropical views.
Guests can access Big Hickory Island—a private island within Estero Bay Ecological Preserve—while groups may arrange off-site activities through Global Works Events such as fishing trips or kayak excursions among mangroves.
