The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees and Membership Assistance Department has announced an extension for the registration deadline for its upcoming Retirees Education and Strategy Program (RESP). The program is scheduled to take place at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland, from September 21 to 26, 2025.

Registrations for the RESP must now be received by Monday, August 18, 2025.

The RESP is designed to provide retired and nearly retired IAM members with information and resources on issues that affect their lives. According to the IAM, the program aims to equip retirees with skills to help others who may need assistance in areas such as organizing and maintaining Retirees Clubs, legislative and political strategies, Social Security and Medicare programs, creating action plans for Retiree Clubs, participating in Alliance for Retired Americans activities, and organizing volunteers among retired members.

For more information or questions about the program, interested individuals are encouraged to contact the IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Department at 301-967-4717.
