The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) will begin accepting applications for its 2026 IAM Scholarship Competition on October 1, 2025. The deadline for submissions is February 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Applications must be submitted online.

The competition is open to IAM members who have at least two years of continuous service, as well as their children who are current high school seniors in the United States and Canada.

Information about the application process, eligibility requirements, and official rules can be found on the IAM Scholarship Competition page. According to the IAM, “Out of the 300+ applicants in 2025, the IAM awarded 16 scholarships valued at $4,000 per student to members and their children. The IAM has a vocational-technical two-year scholarship for members and their children which is also included in the scholarship awards.”

The organization notes that “The IAM Scholarship Fund, used exclusively to make these awards possible, was established by the 1960 IAM Grand Lodge Convention delegates.”

More details about the scholarship program and access to online applications are available through the IAM Scholarship website.
