Actor and comedian Kevin James purchased a mansion in Boca Raton for $17.2 million, according to a March 17 report by The Real Deal.
The purchase highlights the continued demand for luxury real estate in Boca Raton’s Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, which is known as the city’s most expensive neighborhood.
James acquired a six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom home on Sabal Palm Drive. The property spans 8,685 square feet and features five balconies, a home office with an attached club room, a temperature-controlled wine room, and a great room with a bar. Built last year by Primo Construction, the house also includes a four-car garage with space for a golf cart, a gym with sauna, and a pool. The price equates to $1,980 per square foot.
A trust managed by Peter Ciregna, Marco and Maria Cervi-Capocci, and John Lombardi sold the home after previously purchasing it for about $5 million in 2023. Jackie Feldman of One Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller while Jason Matouk of Douglas Elliman represented James.
Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club has seen some of Boca Raton’s highest-priced sales. Last year, another waterfront mansion in the neighborhood sold for $31.5 million.
James has owned several homes in South Florida before this purchase. In 2021 he bought an oceanfront estate in Delray Beach for $14 million and sold another nearby mansion for $26 million in 2016. Known legally as Kevin Knipfing, James is recognized for his roles in “The King of Queens,” “Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Playdate,” “Hitch,” and “Grown Ups.”
