Andrew Rasken’s Meta Development has started sales for Colette, a boutique condominium project planned for Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The five-story building will have 38 luxury units at 1880 Brickell Avenue, with prices starting at $3.3 million. Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes Team is leading the sales and marketing efforts.
Fredrik Eklund, co-head of the Eklund-Gomes Team, said, “Boutique is what everyone wants now. These huge glass towers can take many, many, many years to build and sometimes to sell out. There’s a little more risk as a buyer.”
Colette will offer floor plans ranging from two to four bedrooms and will include two penthouses. Amenities in the building are set to feature a rooftop pool, wellness facilities, a screening room, children’s playroom and a meeting room. The design is being handled by Brazilian architecture group OSPA.
Andrew Rasken commented on the market trend: “We believe that the next chapter in South Florida is not just height and glass.”
Rasken expects local buyers—especially younger residents who have been renting in Brickell but may be considering Coconut Grove—as well as buyers from the Northeast region to be interested in Colette. He anticipates most buyers will make Colette their primary residence.
The developer secured the 0.8-acre site for $10.7 million last year. Rasken’s other developments include Opus, another boutique condominium project with 14 units located in Coconut Grove. In August, he obtained a $28 million construction loan for that project from Arixa Capital.
