A Montreal luxury home developer and the chief executive officer of an As Seen on TV products company found buyers for their waterfront Miami Beach homes during the week of March 23 to March 29, according to the latest Eklund-Gomes signed contracts report.
The report shows that a total of 29 luxury homes were put under contract across Miami-Dade County during this period. These included both single-family homes and condominiums listed at $4 million or more in the Multiple Listing Service. The properties spent an average of 173 days on the market before finding buyers.
According to the Douglas Elliman team led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, last week’s contracts represented a combined asking dollar volume of $292.4 million. Fourteen single-family homes went under contract with an average asking price of $12 million, totaling $167 million in volume. Fifteen condos were also signed for, averaging $8.3 million each and totaling about $125.2 million.
Among the notable deals was a waterfront teardown at 29 East San Marino Drive on Venetian Islands, Miami Beach, listed by Dora Puig for Luxe Living Realty at an asking price of $30 million. The property is owned by 29 ESM INC and was previously sold for $6.8 million in 2015; it was once home to restaurateur Karim Masri, who died in 2024.
Another high-profile transaction involved a newly completed seven-bedroom home at 5515 Pine Tree Drive built by Montreal’s Groupe Dayan and listed for nearly $26 million by Bryan Sereny, Kaila Mardoyan, and Bill Hernandez from Douglas Elliman.
In condominium sales, Ashok “Chuck” Khubani—founder and CEO of Ontel Products—listed his four-bedroom unit at Faena House for nearly $23 million with Keller Williams’ Nicole Gary after purchasing it for $18.5 million in 2015.
During this same week in New York City, buyers signed contracts for 33 homes with a combined asking price exceeding $264.3 million.
