Several South Florida real estate firms have announced new hires and promotions as the summer ends.

Robert Rivani has promoted Marc Shandler to chief operating officer at Black Lion Investment Group. Shandler, who has served as chief legal officer for three years, will keep his legal duties while also managing operational and growth strategy. “Shandler has been the chief legal officer at Rivani’s Black Lion Investment Group for three years, according to LinkedIn. He will be retaining his legal responsibilities in addition to overseeing operational and growth strategy at Rivani, the release states.”

Eastham Capital in Boca Raton named Anthony Librot as its new chief financial officer. Librot previously worked as chief accounting officer at Senné, a Boston-based real estate investment firm, and held executive roles at New England Dental Group and AAM15 Management. In his new position, he will oversee accounting, compliance, and risk management.

Miami-based Waramaug Hospitality appointed Alex Ulnick vice president of acquisitions. Ulnick comes from Peregrine Hospitality in Denver where he spent four years and most recently served as vice president of acquisitions. At Waramaug, he will lead sourcing, underwriting, and structuring for hotel investments. The company currently owns 51 hotels with a total of 6,490 keys across 14 states.

Native Realty in Fort Lauderdale added two brokers: Jeff Dysart and Connor Gordon. Dysart will work with developers on large multifamily projects while Gordon will focus on industrial leasing and investment sales.

AnneMarie Alexander is moving from Corcoran Group to Douglas Elliman after four years with Corcoran. She works in both South Florida and New York and has closed more than $1 billion in career sales. “Alexander works in both South Florida and New York, and has been with Corcoran for four years. She has closed more than $1 billion in career sales.” She will be based out of Elliman’s Biscayne Boulevard office.

Oscar Arellano is leaving Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty for Coldwell Banker Realty along with his team. Arellano had spent nearly six years at BHHS EWM after sixteen years at Fortune International Realty (now Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate). His team sold over $100 million last year alone.

Serhant’s Palm Beach office welcomed Greg Forest from Sotheby’s International Realty where he worked nearly six years. Forest has closed more than $250 million in career sales including over $60 million last year.

Adam McPherson joined Related Ross as senior vice president of residential sales in West Palm Beach where he’ll work on South Flagler House alongside Suzanne Frisbie’s Corcoran Group team. McPherson was previously with Douglas Elliman focusing on luxury sales for eight years.

Colliers hired Michael Nisenbaum as vice president specializing in land development and senior housing in Boca Raton; Nisenbaum was formerly vice president of acquisitions for Belmont Senior Village Living.
