Billionaire Randal Kirk’s Manalapan estate is under contract again after a $15 million price cut, according to a March 18 report. The property, which stretches from the ocean to the lake, is among 21 luxury homes in Palm Beach County that went pending between March 9 and March 15.
The renewed interest in Kirk’s estate follows its return to the market at $75 million in February, down from an earlier asking price of $90 million. The mansion had previously been listed for as much as $134 million last September. Margit Brandt with Premier Estate Properties holds the listing.
The Eklund-Gomes team at Douglas Elliman reported that buyers signed contracts totaling $255.4 million in asking volume during the week, with properties averaging 110 days on the market. Of these, 19 were single-family homes and two were condos, with average asking prices of $12.8 million and $5.7 million respectively.
Kirk’s compound covers 2.3 acres and features a guest house, two pools, a tennis court, a dock, and over 200 feet of beach frontage. The main residence includes nine bedrooms, sixteen bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, a theater, spa facilities, gym, and wine room. Kirk purchased the property for $25.5 million in 2011.
Another notable transaction was for a waterfront home at 1246 North Lake Way in Palm Beach listed at $34.9 million by Christian Angle Real Estate. Owned by Myron “Mosie” Miller and Michelle Miller since their purchase for $21.6 million in 2023, the house recently underwent extensive renovations.
The activity reflects ongoing demand for high-end real estate in Palm Beach County despite recent price adjustments.
