Santa Fe College has appointed Jesse Vander Biezen as its new Associate Vice President for Facilities. Vander Biezen brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education facilities planning, campus development, strategic planning, design leadership, project management, and collaborative project delivery.

Since 2023, Vander Biezen has served as the college’s Director of Planning and Design. In that role, she was involved in campus visioning and long-term planning while ensuring these initiatives were aligned with collegewide strategic goals and state reporting requirements. She also worked as a Project Manager at Santa Fe College for a decade before taking a leadership position at Level Architecture + Interiors.

Vander Biezen holds an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Fe College, as well as both a Bachelor of Design degree and a Master of Education from the University of Florida.

In her new position, she will lead the Facilities department and oversee planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance across all educational sites. According to the college’s announcement: “She will be responsible for promoting the stewardship of SF’s physical resources to ensure all facilities and grounds provide safe, functional, and sustainable environments.”
