Santa Fe College announced on Mar. 24 that members of its community are invited to participate in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of North Florida, which will take place Friday, March 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. at San Felasco Tech City.

The event aims to bring together people affected by cancer and those wishing to support them, offering an evening focused on purpose and camaraderie. Santa Fe College is an official sponsor of the Relay for Life of North Florida, which honors, remembers, and celebrates individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Team SF Friends is representing the college at the relay and is encouraging others from the campus community to join as walkers or supporters. “It’s hard to express how much the participation means to those who take part,” said SF Friends Team Captain Barbara Little-Harsh. “This cause touches so many lives, and it also gives us an opportunity to show our Saints spirit.”

Those interested in joining Team SF Friends or supporting their efforts can contact Barbara Little-Harsh by email or visit www.relayforlife.org/alachuafl for more information about participating in the event.

The Relay for Life brings together communities across North Florida each year as part of a national effort led by the American Cancer Society.
