Santa Fe College recently held a luncheon to honor military veteran students who have been awarded the Veterans Bridge Scholarship. This scholarship, established by the Santa Fe College Foundation, is designed to support veterans as they move from military service into academic life.
“Winston Churchill once said, ‘If you don’t honor your veterans, one day you will have no veterans to honor,'” said SF President Paul Broady II. “Thank you for your service. When you step onto this campus, bringing your experience and your talent, it enriches the classroom and college environment. Over the years, I have watched our veterans add so much value to Santa Fe College as mentors, role models and leaders across the institution. Thank you for choosing us to continue your studies.”
The Veterans Scholarships Program has raised $1.5 million since its creation in 2010 through donations managed by the SF Foundation and with help from SF Veterans and Military Success Services (VMSS). So far, it has provided $371,000 in awards to 411 students.
Santa Fe College has also been recognized for its support of military students. In 2025, Military Times ranked SF ninth among 357 colleges and universities nationwide for being ‘military-friendly,’ marking its highest participation field yet.
