The Santa Fe College Police Department (SFPD) has reported an increase in complaints about the use of bicycles and skateboards on the Northwest Campus. According to the Santa Fe College Rule Manual (Rule 6.7), bicycle traffic is limited to roadways that are open to motor vehicles. Sidewalks, passageways, concourses, and hallways are closed to bicycle traffic unless they are specifically marked for such use.

SFPD also reminded the campus community that bicycles cannot be brought into buildings or parked outside of designated racks.

Rule 6.7 further states, “Skateboards, scooters, roller skates, in-line skates, hoverboards, Segways and other nonvehicular personal transportation devices may not be utilized anywhere on the property of Santa Fe College unless authorized in writing by the President or a member of President’s staff.”

For more information about traffic regulations on campus, individuals can visit the SFPD webpage.
