The District Board of Trustees at Santa Fe College in Florida has announced its intention to amend two institutional rules. The first, Rule 7.3, covers college admission and readmission procedures. According to the board, the purpose of revising this rule is “to modify or delete rule.” Rulemaking authority for this change comes from Florida Statute 1001.64, and it implements laws outlined in FS1001.64(8), 1007.263, 1009.21; as well as administrative code 6A-10.044.

The second rule under review is Rule 7.23, which relates to the Student Conduct Code at Santa Fe College. The stated goal for amending this rule is “to review and update rule.” This revision is authorized by Florida Statutes 1006.60 and 1001.64(4)(8), implementing various state statutes regarding student conduct.

Members of the public seeking more information about these proposed changes are directed to contact P. Locascio at 352-395-5170 or via email at general.counsel@sfcollege.edu.
